We began Dadewethu in July 2016 as part of the UCT Upstarts program (where we all met.) We are three engineering students at UCT and are all passionate and driven about changing the landscape of women’s reproductive health.
Cassandra Da Cruz is a third year chemical engineering student, she ran the pilot program that sold pregnancy tests only first and has experience in answering helpline crisis questions.
Mihlali Dilima is a fourth year chemical engineering student and, as an Allan Gray Candidate Fellow, she has had much exposure to social innovation in South Africa.
Thandeka Chehore is a third year civil engineering student. She interacts with our customers on their experiences and leads the delivery team.
